Steve Gurney, Manager
Steve Gurney manages Surf Reston and holds a Level 2 Certification with the American Canoe Association (ACA). In the winter months, he is an AASI Level 2 Certified Adaptive Snow Board Instructor with Blue Ridge Adaptive Snow Sports based out of Liberty Mountain Resort.
Professionally, Steve is the founder and publisher of Retirement Living SourceBook a resource he founded in 1990, and also serves as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) School of Aging Studies.

Ken Andrews
Ken Andrews is a longtime Reston resident with over a decade of paddling experience. An experienced kayaker, Ken made the switch to Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP) and it constantly developing his skills on whitewater and flatwater . . . not to mention paddling with his dog Annebelle!
Ken is an American Canoe Association (ACA) SUP Certification Level 3 Instructor and leads our whitewater courses.

Sabrina Groves
Sabrina is a longtime Reston resident and a recent graduate of Mount Holyoke College. Sabrina holds a Level 1 certification with the World Paddle Association.
Ibrahim Baig
Ibrahim is a longtime Reston resident and currently enrolled at the Northern Virginia Community College while working at Hunters Woods at Trails Edge Senior Living Community in Reston.
Patrick O’Malley
Patrick is a World Paddle Association (WPA) SUP Certification Level 1 Instructor and a student at Virginia Tech.

Krissee D’Aguiar
Krissee is an American Canoe Association (ACA) SUP Certification Level 2 Instructor. She first became introduced to yoga and has been practicing since 2000. Krissee completed 200hr teacher training at East Meets West Yoga Center in 2012. She brings elements of Traditional Chinese Medicine to compliment the therapeutic benefits yoga asana, crafting classes that awaken, stretch and strengthen the body and mind.
