Lake Anne SUP Triathlon

Join us as an athlete or spectator for this first-of-its-kind event!

Produced by Core Foundation with support from Surf Reston, New Trail Cycling, Lake Anne Brew House and more community partners and volunteers!

Race Description
Inspired by the success and vibe of the Cardboard Boat Regatta, CORE Foundation, Surf Reston, New Trail Cycling, and Lake Anne Brew House have joined forces to bring the inaugural Lake Anne SUP Tri to Reston on Sunday, September 15, 2019! This event is designed to introduce multi-sport to the community, replacing the traditional swim with a stand up paddle board (SUP) experience.

The event will consist of:
-1 mile paddle board (paddle boards are provided)
-7 mile ride on a New Trail Cycling stationary bike
-5k 2-lap run around Lake Anne on the Reston pathway
This will be followed by a post Party with Purpose celebration at Lake Anne Plaza! Proceeds will benefit CORE Foundation, a 501(c)3, which has helped those in need in our community since 2006. Additional fundraising is optional but encouraged and appropriately incentivized with a VIP ride and happy hour.

Athletes may choose to compete solo or as a 3-person relay. The cost of the event is $110 for solo athletes and includes:
-An uber cool t-shirt as opposed to another boring race shirt!
-Use of a New Trail Cycling Bike for the cycling portion of the event
-Use of a paddle board on race day courtesy of Surf Reston and Earth River SUP
-An exclusive Lake Anne SUP Cup
-Post race craft beer, beermosa, or beverage of choice at Lake Anne Brew House
-BARE Snacks
-Finish line delicious pretzel by Nordic Knot
-An awesome SUP Tri Finishers Medal
-Post race stretching and finish line massage by The Jackson Clinics
