The recent heat wave has warmed the water and has our SUP and Fitness Instructors ready for some yoga and fitness on the water. This year we will be offering several sessions each week led by different instructors.
Sessions will start soon, you can BYOB (bring your own board) or use Surf Reston equipment. If you would like to be placed on our "first alert" email for these sessions please email email@example.com.
Returning from last year is Nicole Cartailler of Pranja Fitness, Nicole will be leading the following sessions this summer.
Unifying yoga and stand up paddle boards, the water awakens your body and relaxes the mind. For beginners, this is a great introduction to the benefits of yoga by increasing your core strength and flexibility while taking in the beauty of your surroundings. For the advanced practitioner, SUP Yoga will help you take your practice to the next level. Beginner and advanced poses will be demonstrated by Nicole so that you can practice on your own level.
Are you ready to take your fitness to the next level? With Prajna Fitness’, SUP fitness classes Nicole will help you push your body to the next level. Workouts are taught mainly using body weight with exercises such as paddle assisted squats, lunges, planks, medicine ball passes and burpees just to name a few. These exercises will be practiced completely on the paddle board.
